and what are YOU doing today?

Blogging has apparently become what I do when I want to put off other tasks, namely....

And this picture is AFTER we sorted and put away some items. Greg thinks that for a second job he would like to be some sort of assembler...you know, putting together furniture, using power tools, etc., but without the wife in the background making him move said piece of furniture 8 times before being happy with the placement. He's actually quite good at it (see last post on crib). Good news for him, is that the contents of our living room should keep him in business and at work for quite a few weeks!

My job today is to unwrap, unpack, sort, wash and begin the process of assimilating baby's things into the Smith household.

Greg, wisely, has occupied himself with running errands (Babies R Us and Toys R Us being two of them, bless him), but still seems to think I am getting the short end of the stick. That remains to be seen, but, oddly, I think I will enjoy the process of re-opening cute baby gifts, reading favorite children's books of the gifter, and imagining using all the odd and ends that we will need in a few short weeks.

I do indeed believe you, Linda, got the better end of the deal! It is so much fun to sort through all of the baby's new belongings. And I always send Tim to BRU because he just seems to do much better there than I do (I just get way too distracted checking out all of the cute baby items).

Looks like fun! Oh, how I wish I could have been there for a shower! I can't wait to come visit sometime and see the nursery and all.

Looks like you have lots of goodies! I noticed in the picture that you got the Ocean Wonders Kick and Crawl toy. I would say that was one of my favorite items. The girls still have a blast playing with it now as a tunnel. I hope your little one enjoys it as much.

It is very fun indeed! I think my favorite thing was looking at all the tiny clothes. It is just amazing!

Glad to hear all is well!
