So between Baby Brain and Mommy Brain, I apparently haven't posted about our appointment last week...and since I had an appointment today as well (every week now!!) I have some catching up to do!
Between our ultrasound a month ago and the one I had last week, Little One had apparently somersaulted himself into the head down position. Apparently many moms can pinpoint the exact moment it happens...I, personally, was clueless until I saw the ultrasound picture myself. Okay, who am I kidding? I still can't read an ultrasound image to save my life...the tech had to spell it out for me while pointing to the fuzzy image on the screen before I knew what was going on.
Today the doctor verified that he was still in the go-position...I think it's so odd that she can poke around my belly and find the head and bottom...I mean, wouldn't they feel about the same from the outside? Guess that's why she has the initials after her name and I don't!
As of now, I will be induced somewhere between 39-40 weeks if the Baby doesn't naturally make an appearance...we will choose a date next week for the big day! Personally, as long as Baby is at a healthy weight (he should be over 6 lbs. now) and is past the 37 week mark (in about half a week), I am not opposed to induction. Whether it's the completely natural/unintrusive way or not isn't very important to me...I think I gave up any illusions of having a completely natural birth anyway when I became pro-epidural, so what's a little Pitocin added to the mix if it's best for Baby?
Oh, and the Nursery is almost complete! Casey and Greg painted the walls last week, and I worked on the trim over the weekend...furniture is in place and we are ready to decorate! Can't wait to post pictures..It will be Just Precious-I am sure of it!
