So I was complaining to a friend the other day that it is kind of ironic that during the third trimester, when "mommy brain" starts to hit, and hit big, is the exact time that big decisions need to be made. Between names, nursery decor, furniture, and registering, Greg and I definitely have more than our fair share to think about and decide upon, and, ironically, all I want to do is sleep. Sooo...please help me decide on nursery fabric!! I think I've narrowed it down to two...
Paula Prass-Flights of Fancy
The above set is by Paula Prass and is a recent discovery of mine. The fourth down is my favorite--it has lots of birds and whimsical designs. Obviously wouldn't use the floral zinnia fabric, but really like the stripes, the bird print, the trellis, and the dots.
Paula Prass-Polka DotsI discovered the Paula Prass line when I was looking for a polka dot to go with the above Amy Butler stripe. I'd probably use the polka dots with the stripe, and maybe incorporate the other three Amy Butler fabrics in a small way (the floral, especially, is a bit on the feminine side).
With either collection, I'd probably use wood toned furniture, and neutral walls. Tan, maybe? Maybe a sage-y color? Not sure yet.
So, let me know what you think!!

I didn't see the bottom 4 of the Paula Prass collection before. I love the whole set. You could find places for most of them! And I also like the Amy Butler stripe with the Paula dots. We should just get cuttings of everything!! I love fabric!
Sooo loving the first set of Paula Brass both stripes (especially 5th down) with the 2nd or 8th down and the birds that you like. All I think would be masculine and fun! Especially with the new plan of wood tone furniture and tan walls. I think that would be a nice and warm room for Little Man Smith!!
I can't wait to work with these fabrics.
My kind of eye candy!
I like the birds one as well Linda, it does has a whimsical effect. I saw dish towels at a friends out in similar fabric and it looked really good!
I also like the 5th one down, the yellow and blue stripped. That may be a little bit more masculine and a fabric that can work as he gets older... but I like the birds one equally as well....good luck!
I love the Paula Prass-Polka Dots. What fun colors! Congrats on the pregnancy and I think it's so neat that your nursery set will be handmade and unique and the color scheme is really cool.
