So Lillypie seems to register me as 17 weeks, 4 days pregnant. My calculations show me at 17 weeks, 1 day pregnant. Either way, we are glad to be at this point and hope that everything continues to go well! We got our latest round of bloodwork back, and, in addition to normal thyroid levels, the tests for Downs and Spina Bifida were negative.
Baby Smith is about the size of an avocado, and is approximately 5 inches from head to bottom. His skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and he is supposedly moving around a lot...though I am yet to feel it:( BabyCenter claims that I should feel movement somewhere between 16-22 weeks...I am still waiting! Hopefully I will feel something within the next week or two. Our next appointment, on November 26th, provides a double thrill--an ultrasound, plus, hopefully, we will find out the sex! Very exciting!
I've been feeling pretty good the last few weeks, other than some back pain that started about 3 weeks ago. Other than using a heating pad set to "warm", and lying down, not much seems to work. My Doctor suggested Tylenol, but unless she was referring to a hefty dose of Tylenol 4, I'm going to need to find another option. But, other than that, I am feeling pretty good. Clothes are fitting about the same, though I am kind of ready to be really showing. I'm definitely at the stage where I could be pregnant, but I could also just be kind of pudgy, not a good middle ground.
So, the question for today's post...do you remember when you felt your baby's first movements?

4 people say...:
Gosh, I don't rememeber the exact moment I felt any of my babies move. I do know it gets earlier and earlier every time due to lack of muscles! I don't think I felt Amelia until 20 weeks, Tessa around 18, and this little one at 16. That just goes to show how out of shape I am anymore.
I can't say I remember that either but then again my memory has always left a little to be desired!
Glad to see you posted and glad to hear everything is well.
